“A man’s body was discovered nailed to a wooden cross in an empty South Korea stone pit, supposedly next to a mirror so he could see himself suffer…
Police found a hammer, nails, mirror, an electric drill, more pieces of wood, and a “how-to” guide for constructing crosses. …Cops are unsure if this was a suicide or homicide, but neighbors claimed the man had intense religious beliefs.”
First of all- THIS IS TERRIBLE!
Secondly - WHO NEEDS A “HOW TO GUIDE” TO SLAP 2 BOARDS TOGETHER AND MAKE A CROSS?!?!?
I am annoyed by all of the recent hype of just ONE dead terrorist… He killed a few thousand Americans, and we spend trillions of dollars in a 10 year war because of it. However, millions of people die each day due to other acts of terror, such as human trafficking and slavery, war crimes and oppression, and even death because of poverty and hunger.
The US government will spend an incredible amount of time and resources to avenge a few dead Americans, but yet we do next to nothing to help the billions of people suffering from injustice and oppression each day. THAT IS THE REAL CRIME!!!
Why do Americans suddenly care when a few of our citizens are killed- while so much greater injustice happens worldwide on a daily basis and we don’t lift a finger or think twice about helping?
I’m not saying that the US war on terror is wrong… just that for spending $700 million a day over the course of almost 10 years, a lot more good could have been done just killing one head terrorist.
They say there’s a heaven for those who will wait
Some say it’s better but I say it ain’t
I’d rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints
the sinners are much more fun…
You know that your life sucks, when the easiest way to fall asleep has become succumbing to exhaustion with swollen red eyes, a weary body, and a pillow moistened by silent tears of agony and utterly hopeless dispair…
My saxophone has finally been replaced as #1 love of my material life… and the new mistress is quite the fine ride! ;p
Now seriously- I am LOVING my new road bike. It makes cycling nearly effortless and it’s fast as **** for tearing up and down the hills. I actually had to lay on my brakes today in order to avoid rear-ending a sports car in a 35 speed zone. It made me smile, inside and out :)
They mold you and shape you, they watch what you do…
Though they may promise, they only bring pain…
The future is managed, and your freedom’s a joke
You don’t know the difference as you put on the yoke
The less that you know the more you fall into place
A cog in the wheel, there is no soul in your face
(Above lyrics are an excerpt from the band Kansas’s hit “Sparks of the Tempest”)
-It seems to me a fair reflection of the reality in which we are all enslaved to by our “helpful”(NOT) political and educational institutions, which we have been ‘fortunate’ to inherit by birth in this grand country… *cough cough
Well, I guess it beats waking to a constant threat of physical and mental torture, or the other atrocities experienced in third-world countries. :/
